This year, City2 is proud to announce an exceptional collaboration with the Bright Brussels Festival, the light festival that transforms the capital into a true artistic trail every winter.
From 12 to 15 February 2026, Martyrs’ Square will host PERPETUUM, an international video artwork that shines a light on our shopping community. And… you can be part of it!
An international artwork celebrating human movement
Since 2019, choreographer Katja Heitmann has been creating works that celebrate the diversity of humanity and the uniqueness of each individual. For PERPETUUM, presented at Martyrs’ Square, a series of video portraits will be projected as short sequences highlighting body movement. Each participant shares a personal gesture, a unique way of moving, which becomes part of this large international artistic archive.
Your portrait projected in the heart of Brussels
For this edition, City2 wants to celebrate what makes it strong: its community. Shopkeepers, customers, visitors, neighbours… all those who bring the centre to life every day. Thanks to PERPETUUM, your movements, your energy and your individuality can be integrated into a monumental artistic installation projected in the very heart of Brussels. The team is looking for all kinds of people, of all ages (from 10 years old), all body types and identities. No experience is required: only your movement and your authenticity matter.
Taking part means becoming one of the faces of City2, projected on Martyrs’ Square during four magical evenings.
